Thermal break profiles maintain inner surface temperatures above the dew point for typical indoor conditions of 20 degrees Celsius and 50% relative humidity.\n\n## Energy Cost Savings\n\nThermal break profiles reduce heat loss through the building envelope by 30-50% compared to standard aluminium systems. For a typical residential property with 20 square metres of aluminium-framed glazing, annual heating energy savings of 500-800 kWh can be expected. At current European energy prices, this represents savings of 100-200 euros per year with a payback period of 3-5 years for the premium over standard profiles.
