EN 12600 Pendulum Impact Test
50 kg twin-tyre pendulum, three drop heights: 190mm (Class 3), 450mm (Class 2), 1200mm (Class 1). Breakage types: A (large pieces), B (laminate intact), C (small fragments). For fall protection: minimum Class 1(B)1 required — VSG achieves this.
EN 1991-1-1 Horizontal Line Load
Applied at handrail height: residential 0.5 kN/m, office 0.5 kN/m, public 1.0 kN/m, crowd 3.0 kN/m. Deflection limit: L/100 (11mm for 1100mm railing). Tested with hydraulic cylinder and laser displacement sensor.
EN 1991-1-4 Wind Load Calculation
Example Istanbul 30m: vb = 28 m/s, qp = 907 Pa, we = 1270 Pa ≈ 1.27 kPa → FS1500 sufficient. Coastal 60m+: FS3000 or FS7000 required.

VSG 8+8mm, span 1500mm. Glass stress 1.69 MPa << 50 MPa ✅. Deflection 2.1mm < 15mm ✅. Safety factor: 29.6.
FS3000 — Commercial Terrace
VSG 10+10mm, coastal 40m: wind 1.89 kPa. Glass stress 1.42 MPa ✅. Anchor force 18.3 kN/m ✅. Profile utilisation 80.6% ✅.
FS7000 — High-Rise
VSG 12+12mm, 110m: wind 3.78 kPa. Glass stress 1.37 MPa ✅. Profile utilisation 47.7% ✅.
EasyMod MARS Calculation
60×60×4mm post, 1500mm spacing. Line load 0.5 kN/m. Stress 147 MPa, utilisation 91.9% ✅. Bar spacing 90mm < 100mm ✅.
